My amazing cousin, Tiffany, managed to get two tickets to the completely sold out Broadway play, Wicked. What is even more exciting, she offered one of the tickets to me! I was ecstatic because I have wanted to see this play FOREVER, and now I finally get to see it in May. Wicked is the untold story of the Witches of Oz and how one witch, with emerald green skin, becomes wicked. Oh, did I mention they are 8th row tickets?
Well, little did I know my Wicked ticket would come at a price. Yes, the ticket itself was very expensive (but WORTH every penny), but that Cory would ask for something in return. He said that since I was spending SO much money on a "ticket to a little play" (I gave him a piece of my mind about that), that he wanted tickets to the Ducks Unlimited Annual Spring Meeting. Two tickets cost the same as my one ticket to Wicked. I thought, fair enough, he and his buddy should have a good time. Oh, no... he wanted me to be his guest and... are you ready for this... wear camo! What? He said I wouldn't fit in if I didn't because all the guys and their wives wear camo. Good for them, I thought. Fine, I will get pink camo - a pink camo shirt that I will wear with jeans under a hoodie. Ha! They are serving a prime rib dinner, there will be an open bar, and they have a lot of drawings and prizes - I guess I can handle it for a couple of hours. After all, Cory lets me drag him to all kinds of places that he really doesn't want to go.
